ΠΡΟΣΚΛΗΣΗ ΠΡΟΣ ΗΘΟΠΟΙΟΥΣ

Οι οργανώσεις «ΟΛΚΕ» ως φορέας υλοποίησης και οι «Θετική Φωνή», «Athens Pride», και «Thessaloniki Pride» ως εταίροι, απευθύνουν πρόσκληση, με την οικονομική υποστήριξη του οργανισμού «Αλληλεγγύη – Solidarity Now», προς ηθοποιούς στο πλαίσιο του έργου «Πρόγραμμα καταπολέμησης των διακρίσεων βάσει του σεξουαλικού προσανατολισμού και της ταυτότητας φύλου: Πρόληψη και Παρέμβαση» (Program for Combating Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity: Prevention and Interventions).

Το πρόγραμμα αποτελείται από δύο υποέργα και ενέχει δύο διαστάσεις:

1. την παροχή ψυχολογικής υποστήριξης σε ΛΟΑΤ (Λεσβείες, Ομοφυλόφιλους, Αμφισεξουαλικούς, Τρανς) νέες και νέους, τις οικογένειες και τους εκπαιδευτικούς τους, και την παρέμβαση σε περιπτώσεις κρίσης. Για το σκοπό αυτό δημιουργείται γραμμή τηλεφωνικής δωρεάν ψυχολογικής υποστήριξης και παρέμβασης στην κρίση.

    2. την καταπολέμηση των διακρίσεων που βασίζονται στον σεξουαλικό προσανατολισμό και την ταυτότητα φύλου και την εξοικείωση της ευρύτερης κοινωνίας με την εικόνα, τις ανάγκες, και τα δικαιώματα των ΛΟΑΤ ατόμων μέσα από την πρώτη εθνικής εμβέλειας καμπάνια με βασική στόχευση την ανάδειξη της αγάπης και της συντροφικότητας στα ομόφυλα ζευγάρια. Η καμπάνια αποτελείται από δύο μέρη: την παραγωγή και δημοσίευση τηλεοπτικού, ραδιοφωνικού, έντυπου και ηλεκτρονικού υλικού καθώς και τη διοργάνωση εκδηλώσεων με τη μορφή της ανοιχτής συζήτησης σε διάφορες πόλεις της Ελλάδας.

Μη συμμετοχή της ΟΛΚΕ στο Athens Pride

Αγαπητά μέλη

Σας ενημερώνουμε ότι το ΔΣ της ΟΛΚΕ κατά την συνεδρία του στις 15 Μαΐου, αποφάσισε να μην συμμετέχει η ΟΛΚΕ στο Athens Pride 2015 για τον λόγο ότι παρά τις εκκλήσεις των οργανώσεων της κοινότητας μας, εξακολουθεί να μην υπάρχει συμμετοχή τρανς ανθρώπων στην επιτροπή του Pride.

Προσβλέπουμε σε ένα Pride που θα συμπεριλαμβάνονται, θα εκπροσωπούνται και θα έχουν λόγο τυπικά και ουσιαστικά όλες οι συνιστώσες της LGBTQI κοινότητας.

Πιστεύουμε ότι  μόνο μέσα από την σύνθεση αυτή, μέσα από την ενότητα και την συνεργασία όλων μας, μπορεί η κοινότητα μας να αναδείξει την δύναμη της ώστε η ημέρα υπερηφάνειας να είναι και ημέρα ορατότητας και πολιτικής διεκδίκησης.

Κόψαμε την πίτα της ΟΛΚΕ...

Μέσα σε μια ζεστή και φιλική ατμόσφαιρα κόψαμε την Τετάρτη 11 Φεβρουαρίου την καθιερωμένη πίτα της ΟΛΚΕ για το 2015.

Ευχαριστούμε με όλη μας την καρδιά όσες κι όσους παρευρέθηκαν στην  εκδήλωση αυτή.

Ήταν μάλιστα ιδιαίτερη τιμή η παρουσία της βουλευτού  Βασιλικής Κατριβάνου και των πρώην βουλευτών,  Μαρία Γιαννακάκη, και Φωτεινή  Πιπιλή, οι οποίες μας εμψύχωσαν και τάχθηκαν για ακόμα μια φορά υπέρ των διεκδικήσεών μας.

Και οι τρεις πολιτικοί έχουν δείξει έμπρακτα την υποστήριξη τους, τόσο με τις δημόσιες τοποθετήσεις τους όσο και με επερωτήσεις που έχουν καταθέσει  στο ελληνικό κοινοβούλιο.

Απολογισμός και αξιολόγηση σεμιναρίου σχετικά με τα διακαιώματα των LGBT μαθητών και την καταπολέμηση της ομοφοβίας και τρανσφοβίας στα σχολεία

Απολογισμός και αξιολόγηση σεμιναρίου που διοργάνωσε η ΟΛΚΕ σε συνεργασία με  την Ολλανδική οργάνωση GALE( The Global Allimce for LGBT Education) στις 29 και 30 Νοεμβρίου σχετικά με τα διακαιώματα των LGBT μαθητών και την καταπολέμηση της ομοφοβίας και τρανσφοβίας στα σχολεία.

Combating homophobia and transphobia in schools - Teacher Training

Συμμετείχαν συνολικά 40 άτομα, 22 γυναίκες και 18 άνδρες. Ο μέσος όρος ηλικίας είναι 30-40 έτη. Στην πλειοψηφία τους οι συμμετέχουσες και οι συμμετέχοντες προέρχονται από τον εκπαιδευτικό χώρο (62%) ενώ 16% από τον χώρο της ψυχικής υγείας.

Το διαδίκτυο ήταν οι βασικός τρόπος με τον οποίο οι συμμετέχουσες και οι συμμετέχοντες ενημερώθηκαν για την διεξαγωγή του σεμιναρίου ακολουθούν οι οργανώσεις, και οι προσκλήσεις μέσω γνωστών.

Η πλειοψηφία δήλωσε ότι συμμετείχε από ενδιαφέρον για το θέμα Το 85% δήλωσε ότι οι γνώσεις που πήραν θα τους βοηθήσουν από πολύ έως πάρα πολύ στο έργο τους.

Συνάντηση εκπροσώπων ΟΛΚΕ και LLH στο Όσλο.

 Στα πλαίσια επιχορήγησης του προγράμματος "We are all Citizens", που διαχειρίζεται το Ίδρυμα Μποδοσάκη, εκπρόσωποι της ΟΛΚΕ - Ομοφυλοφιλική Λεσβιακή Κοινότητα Ελλάδας και του Athens Pride - Φεστιβάλ Υπερηφάνειας Αθήνας βρέθηκαν στο Όσλο της Νορβηγίας για συνάντηση εργασίας με την LLH - Landsforeningen for lesbiske, homofile, bifile og transpersoner το διάστημα 19 με 22 Νοεμβρίου. Οι συναντήσεις έγιναν με ανθρώπους που διαδραμάτισαν σημαντικό ρόλο για την ισότητα στον γάμο στη Νορβηγία, από αυτούς που εργάστηκαν για την καμπάνια για την ευαισθητοποίηση της κοινής γνώμης, μέχρι εκείνους που συμμετείχαν στο πολιτικό lobbying αλλά και τους ίδιους τους πολιτικούς, που βοήθησαν στο να αποκτήσουν τα νορβηγικά ομόφυλα ζευγάρια ισότιμη πρόσβαση στο οικογενειακό δίκαιο.

Ως ΟΛΚΕ θέλουμε να ευχαριστήσουμε το Ίδρυμα Μποδοσάκη, που μας προσέφερε την ευκαιρία να αναπτύξουμε την τεχνογνωσία μας, να συσφίξουμε σχέσεις με την νορβηγική LLH και κυρίως να φέρουμε στην Ελλάδα καλές πρακτικές, που θα βοηθήσουν στην επίτευξη της ισότητας στον γάμο και στην χώρα μας.

Φωτογραφίες από την εκδήλωση Ημέρα Μνήμης Τρανς Θυμάτων που οργάνωσε η LLH και στην οποία ήμασταν προσκεκλημένοι-ες κι ενημερωθήκαμε για τα τρανς δικαιώματα στη Νορβηγία.

Αποτελέσματα έρευνας της ΟΛΚΕ για την τεκμηρίωση της ομοφοβικής και τρανσφοβικής βίας στην Ελλάδα.

Ολοκληρώθηκε η διαδικτυακή έρευνα της ΟΛΚΕ, που διεξήχθη το 2013 στο πλαίσιο προγράμματος της ILGA Europe με τίτλο «Step up reporting on homophobic and transphobic violence». Η έρευνα ήταν ανώνυμη και συμμετείχαν 134 θύματα  και 98 μάρτυρες  περιστατικών ομοφοβικής και τρανσφοβικής βίας στην Ελλάδα.

Demanding Fundamental Rights: Law Related Education in Adult Learning

Law related education aims to improve the ability of adult learners to understand and  apply elements of law that affect their everyday lives, as well as raising awareness of fundamental rights as core social and civic entitlements. Knowledge of rights and  legal issues empower individuals and communities’ to participate in the democratic process, gain access to public services and demand their fundamental rights.

Moreover,  law-related education programmes have the potential to re-engage adults in life-long education and enables them to take more control over their lives and careers.Recent European research in the field of Law-related education and wider access to justice issues has highlighted significant gaps in the ability of Europeans to understand their rights and the processes that are available to gain redress. Low-levels of knowledge, skills and confidence in dealing with law-related issues have a disproportionate impact in disadvantaged groups and can result in entrenched social exclusion and increased risk of rights violations and discrimination.The learning partnership brings together seven European organisations to cooperate on the topic of ‘Demanding Fundamental Rights: Law Related Education in Adult Learning’.

Over the life of the project they exchanged promising practices, identified  key elements for success, and learned about tools and methodologies that could be used to support law-related education amongst groups of adult learners. Among the approaches we have shared are innovative low-threshold courses to improve access to justice, empowerment of victims of domestic violence, law-related simulations as educational tools, court observer schemes and creative outreach and dissemination strategies for migrants.

Protection of sexual orientation and gender identity from hate crimes

The 6th of March 2013 is a special day for the LGBT community of Greece, because it was then that the draft bill «About Addictive Substances and Other Provisions» was passed in principle by the House of Assembly, with the support of the political parties of SYRIZA, DIMAR and PASOK. It was brought to Parliament by the Minister of Justice,Transparency and Human Rights, Antonis Roupakiotis. 

Clearly, and for the first time, gender identity is included as grounds for protection against crimes motivated by hate in a draft bill which will be the law of Greece when it is published in the Government Gazette.  

More specifically, a provision is included that amends the Penal Code (PC) and particularly paragraph 3 of Article 79 of the PC, so that "The perpetration of an act of  hatred motivated by race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin,  different sexual orientation, or gender identity of the victim, constitutes an aggravating circumstance and the sentence shall  not be suspended”. 

The Homosexual and Lesbian Community of Greece consider the law a positive step, which brings Greece closer to other European laws and practices. This law also underlines that the current composition of the House shows a substantive rather a fragmentary disposition towards dialogue about the serious social issue of protecting not only sexual orientation, but also gender identity, from homophobic and transphobic hate attacks. Prevention remains the strongest weapon of a society and this can be achieved through non-discriminatory intimidation education, and also by the substantial institutionalization of the protection of victims and witnesses. 

OLKE thanks the Members of the Greek Parliament and the Greek MEPs’ parties for supporting our positions and assisting us in carrying the message and voting in favour of a bill which for the first time states that all people are protected by the law.
